Missionaries of Hope:
The Missionaries of Hope were consecrated as a religious order of lay and ordained members by Bishop Peter Hickman in November of 1996. It's members are dedicated to helping people find the fullness of the Spirit within themselves and walking with others on their spiritual journey.
After one year of service to a religious community, a person is eligible to apply for a year of novitiate.
After at least one year of novitiate, the worthy novice is invited to become a fully pledged Missionary.
Missionaries of Hope take three pledges before each other and God. Those pledges are to love, live simply and serve others. It is up to each Missionary to decide how
to best live these pledges. Each Missionary is expected to stay involved in a parish and to live a life exemplary of the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
The first Sunday of each month is Missionary of Hope Sunday.
